How to Update the Link Cache in Social Networks?

If you publish on social networks a link to a page created in GetCourse, it will be visually displayed with a title, description and a preview picture. This data is taken from the page settings ('og:title' and 'og:description').

After the first attempt to publish the link on social networks, the content of the link gets into the cache, is remembered and remains unchanged.

There are special tools that allow you to update the external link cache.

For Facebook - Open Graph Object Debugger.

• paste the link
• click 'Fetch new scrape information'

For Telegram - @webpagebotbot.

• give the bot the command /updatepreview
• send him the link, the cache of which needs to be updated
• be sure to restart your Telegram client
• after that the link will be updated
